Raymond S. (Ray) Kasevich
CEO and Co- Founder
Ray Kasevich is an expert in electromagnetic science and engineering, particularly radio frequency (RF) and microwave. With 48 U.S. and foreign patents and 50 peer-reviewed papers, he has 35 years experience in advancing the state of the art and applying it in a wide range of military, healthcare, energy, environmental and industrial applications, including radar, military RF and microwave communication systems, high-energy electromagnetic pulse systems, stealth materials, microwave power systems, microwave hyperthermia cancer treatment, oil and gas recovery and environmental cleanup. Most recently has been developing, field testing and patenting technology for oil and gas recovery, environmental remediation (e.g. TCA remediation in fractured bedrock, PCB removal from mixed radioactive waste, RF-enhanced bioremediation). Prior to founding his own consulting and engineering companies, Mr. Kasevich worked for two years at Westinghouse Microwave Laboratory and for 14 years as Principal Scientist at Raytheon Advanced Development. Mr. Kasevich received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Yale University. He is a member of URSI, the IEEE and several of its societies (including Antennas and Propagation and Electromagnetic Compatibility) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Jeb Rong, Ph.D
President and Co-Founder
Jeb Rong is an expert with 25 years experience in high voltage, high-power engineering, including applying radio frequency (RF) and other electromagnetic technology to defense and homeland security, oil/gas recovery, environmental and industrial process problems. Prior to founding his own consulting and engineering companies, he worked on advanced power systems for electron beam accelerators at Energy Sciences, Inc, and later as Sr. Principal Engineer for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems on defense applications, such as Patriot Missile program, land and sea based radar systems, standoff radiation detection systems. Most recently he has been developing, testing and implementing RF technology for oil and gas recovery, environmental remediation, and industrial processes. Originally from Inner Mongolia, Dr. Rong received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University (Beijing) and both his M.S. in Electrical Engineering and doctorate in High Voltage Engineering from the University of Stuttgart (Germany). He is fluent in English, German and Chinese.
John W. McTigue, P.G., LSP
Mr. McTigue is a Principal with The Isosceles Group located in Boston, Massachusetts with over 24 years of experience in assessment and remediation of complex contaminated sites. Mr. McTigue maintains specific technical expertise in assessment and remediation of chlorinated solvents in fractured bedrock and acted as the Principal for the first known application of Radio Frequency (RF) heating to abate a 1,1,1-trichloroethane (TCA) DNAPL source area in situ beneath an active commercial facility. RF heating was applied within a documented TCA DNAPL source area over a three year period supplemented by six years of post-application monitoring to conclusively demonstrate DNAPL source abatement. RF achieved a permanent reduction in dissolved phase TCA concentrations in the TCA DNAPL source area of 99 percent. Permanent source abatement was also evidenced in documented patterns of plume detachment, regression and the absence of impacts to surface water and sediment at downgradient discharge points.
